National holidays January 1 - New Year
It is the first day of the new year. The New Year holiday is widely celebrated in all countries of the world at different times of the year. The symbol of the New Year is Santa Claus and Snow Maiden and a Christmas tree. The New Year begins on the night between December 31 and January 1, when the clocks traditionally strike 12 o'clock. January 14 - Defender of the Fatherland Day
In independent Uzbekistan, this holiday is dedicated to the organization of armed forces.
